Muthapa Pooja is a traditional offering to Muthappan — a beloved deity of northern Kerala (Malabar region) worshipped as a form of Shiva-Vishnu combined. Muthappan is known as the deity of the common people, protector of the poor, and remover of hardship. This pooja is offered for blessings of everyday wellbeing, protection from hardship, resolution of family disputes, and the grace of a compassionate and accessible divine presence.
